AI Visibility Benchmark

See what is happening.

A focused measurement of how AI assistants answer a defined set of buyer questions about your market, repeated across several runs so you see a pattern rather than one answer on one day.

£595, one-off. Not a subscription. TendorAI is not currently VAT-registered, so no VAT is added.

What the Benchmark is

It answers one question: what is happening right now when someone asks an AI assistant a question your business should be an answer to.

We agree a defined set of buyer questions with you — the things a potential customer would actually type — put them to AI assistants, and repeat them across several runs. Every answer is recorded. What you receive is the record, and a plain reading of what it shows.

The repetition is the part that matters. Assistants do not give the same answer every time, so asking once tells you about one moment. Asking the same question several times tells you whether your business appears reliably, occasionally, or not at all — and that distinction is usually the whole point.

It is an entry point: the smallest piece of real evidence that lets you decide whether there is anything here worth acting on.

What you receive

  • Whether AI assistants named your business, across the agreed set of buyer questions
  • What the recorded answers actually said, in their own words
  • Which sources were cited in those answers, and whether your own site was among them
  • How consistent the answers were across the repeated runs
  • The recorded answers themselves, so every statement can be checked back to its source

What you leave with: a dated, reproducible record of how AI assistants answered those questions, and enough evidence to decide whether the position is worth investigating further.

Dated and reproducible are both deliberate. The measurement carries the date it was run and the questions it was run on, so it can be repeated later and the two compared. A figure without a method behind it is not evidence.

What it measures

A Benchmark run is made of four things:

  • A defined question set — agreed with you at the start and then held constant
  • Repeated runs of those same questions, so the result is a pattern rather than a single answer
  • The recorded responses, kept as the evidence behind every statement in the report
  • The sources cited in those responses, recorded as cited — not as having caused the answer

The question set is agreed rather than generated from a template, because a question nobody asks tells you nothing. What matters is the wording a real buyer would use, in the markets you actually serve.

The boundaries of the evidence

A Benchmark is a factual record of how assistants answered a defined set of questions over a defined period. It is worth being precise about what that does and does not establish.

  • It covers the agreed question set, not the whole internet. It describes how assistants answered those questions, in that window.
  • A source appearing in an answer is recorded as a source cited in that answer. That is an observation, not evidence that the source caused the answer.
  • Assistants change without notice, so a measurement describes the period it was taken in rather than a permanent position.
  • What was observed is reported separately from what we think it means, so you can disagree with the interpretation while still relying on the record.

The full account of how we measure, and of what that method cannot establish, is set out under Research.

What the Benchmark does not do

This is a deliberately narrow product, and it is easier to buy sensibly if the limits are stated up front.

  • It is not an ongoing monitoring service. It is one measurement, not a subscription and not continuous tracking.
  • It does not diagnose why the pattern looks the way it does. Explaining the evidence is the Audit.
  • It does not produce a prioritised action register.
  • It includes no implementation of any kind — nothing is changed on your website or anywhere else.
  • It does not include a re-measurement programme. Measuring again later is part of Growth.
  • It does not measure your competitors. Our measurement instrument currently measures one target — your business — so no competitor comparison is offered or implied.
  • It does not guarantee that any assistant will name your business, then or later.

That last point is not legal throat-clearing. Nobody controls a third-party AI platform, and our own research found that businesses we changed nothing about still moved between measurements. What we promise is that the work is accurate and that the evidence is real, not what an assistant will say.

What happens next

Nothing automatically. The Benchmark is complete in itself and the record is yours. A result that shows nothing worth acting on has done its job, and stopping there is a legitimate outcome.

If it does surface something you want explained, the AI Visibility Audit takes the evidence further: what the gaps are, what the evidence supports, and what should be addressed first. If you already know you want the work done and measured continuously, AI Visibility Growth is the programme.

Neither is a required next step, and the Benchmark is not a required first step for either of them. You can start with the Audit, or with Growth, if that is what your situation calls for.

If you go on to the Audit, the £595 carries over

Buy the AI Visibility Audit within three months of your Benchmark being delivered and the £595 you paid for the Benchmark is credited against the £1,995 Audit.

  • The three months run from the date the Benchmark is delivered to you, not from the date you paid.
  • The credit applies to the Audit only. There is no Benchmark or Audit credit against Growth.
  • The advertised prices are unchanged: the Benchmark is £595 and the Audit is £1,995.

The credit exists so that starting small is not a penalty. It does not make the Benchmark a prerequisite, and it does not commit you to anything — if the Benchmark answers your question, that is a good outcome.
